Portfolio > Colony Collapse

My work investigates the disappearance of the Western Honey Bee due to Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD). This series analyzes the relationship that exists between human and pollinator. While the exact cause of CCD remains in question, scientists believe the catalyst is likely a myriad of factors affecting their natural habitats, including a wide range of human interventions, systemic pesticides, and climate change. As these tiny insects are a vital part of our natural and agricultural ecosystem the complexities of this alarming epidemic amplify one fact; we depend on the bees. (2013)
